Nazanin Modares is currently a designer at Ennead Architects in New York City. She holds a Master of Architecture from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and has over seven years of experience working on a variety of projects, including cultural, institutional, healthcare, and urban design.

In parallel with her architectural practice, she co-founded Studio Delta P, where she primarily focuses on creating small objects, including jewelry and, more recently, lighting, using a range of fabrication processes from handcraft to digital fabrication. Through this practice, she extends her interest in the built environment to the scale of the body and the domestic space, exploring how design can influence perception, comfort, and emotional well-being.

Introvert Light
from US$225.00

Designed by Studio Delta P.

“Introvert Lighting” is the first prototype in an ongoing lighting series. The design began with hand sketching, exploring forms that create a protective shell, where the light source is partially enclosed and gently diffused outward. The process then moved into digital modeling using Rhino, followed by multiple iterations of small-scale 3D-printed studies to refine proportion and form.

The final piece was developed through mold-making and slip casting in porcelain. The surface is carefully polished to achieve a smooth, tactile finish that feels soft and alive to the touch, without the use of glaze. The result is a quiet, intimate object that emphasizes both material sensitivity and controlled light diffusion.

Details & Care: The Introvert Lighting is designed in two sizes. Each piece is handmade, unglazed, and burnished. To maintain its appearance, gently clean with a soft, dry cloth.
