Rut Otero’s namesake brand is born as a celebration of creativity and curiosity, experimenting and drawing new connections between raw materials, craftsmanship and technology. Rut’s references often come from faraway places and cultures, architectural design and honest textiles.
Each of Rut’s collections holds a hidden experience; a physical and emotional journey that becomes an extension of herself. Materialized in dreamy collections that merge the flowing and the sculptural, each piece is made to embrace our diversity and reflect the inspiring qualities of the people they are made for.
All of Rut’s clothing are made in Spain, in the hands of experienced artisans who hold great passion for their work and treat each piece as a work of art, allowing for a unique and high-quality result. The brand was founded with great sense of responsibility for our planet and its inhabitants, thoughtfully dealing with every material, step and process involved in each creation.
Rut Otero Studio focuses on meaningful creation and a slower approach to design with special emphasis on history, process, and handcraft. Through observation and modernization of artisanal techniques, the studio honors the hands of creation, preserving their history and artistry by bringing it forward for a new generation. The brand also celebrates transparency and mindful practices, generating nuanced intersections between tradition and innovation.
